About Me

My name is Lynn Barnes.

I started my training as a Counsellor in 2004 by completing an NCFE certificated course in Counselling Skills and Theory.

For professional development I then trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist at the Metanoia Institute in Ealing, London and graduated with an Masters degree.

I am accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as well as having Member status of the Bristish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have also trained as a Workplace Mediator and Coach and can provide these services if required.

I work within ethical guidelines of UKCP, BACP and Metanoia Institute.

I have worked with clients with depression, trauma, loss, bereavement, anxiety, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse and many other life issues. Please ring me to discuss if I am experienced in the area you would like to explore.

In addition to my private practice, I have also worked as a Workplace Counsellor in an NHS Trust and for a voluntary organisation seeing clients in the community who have been referred by their G.P. I have also worked with survivors and their famialies who were involved on 7th July in the London Bombings.
